Indigenous lived experience is a critical voice in reconciliation ministry. Č’apac Sk^:n^lahá:wi Reconciliation Society creates original multimedia content that honors Indigenous People’s life journeys, weaving faith through the context of our cultural worldview. Our dynamic video, audio, and printed media are relevant to the real-world interests and needs of this generation and developed for emerging and traditional platforms that are easily accessible online for Indigenous People.

There are some teachings in the Nuu-cha-nulth language that describe the framework of this video program. One is T’ašii, which means “the pathway”. This is the path of choosing good and healthy choices for wholeness in life. The other is Hašah, which means “for keeping”. This is the idea that we hold something with honor, care for it, and cherish it to pass it on to the next generation. Together, T’ašii Hašah means the pathway for keeping, which is not only a place for each of us to walk and to dwell but to cherish enough to share with others. We think of it as the Journey Home.
Journey Home: Sanctuary is our premier 10-part series following the original sanctuary as the foundational framework for developing a restorative relationship with Creator. Hosted by Brad Dennis, of the Huu-ay-aht First Nation, biblical teachings are contextualized through his cultural worldview. We are grateful for the generous financial support of the North America Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Canada, a private foundation, the sponsorship and support of the Cariboo Centre for Healing and Hope and the private donors who generously invested in this series. We especially hold our hands up to Dr. Campbell Page “Neibow Wabusk” for catching the vision and securing the funding from the aforementioned entities to launch Journey Home: Sanctuary. - Restoring Hearts Audio Podcast
